Stomper Registration

• Early registration fee is $35 per team and includes:
  • Limited Edition Grape Stomp T-Shirt for each team member.
  • Registrations after September 3rd or on the day of the event are $45 per team.
  • Space is limited, so get your registration in early for a guaranteed good time!

• Teams comprised of 3 members.
  • Each member stomps with their bare feet for one minute.
  • The goal is to stomp out the most juice (based on weight of juice).
  • While one team member stomps, another will hold the juice container.

• Finals held at 4:00 pm with top three teams in each category stomping for top prize.

Have some fun! Give your team a wacky name or wear fun costumes!

We make this Summer Sangria with our tasty 2007 Rosé, on sale for $36.00 a case.

Summer Sangria Recipe:

1 Bottle Yakima Valley Vintners 2007 Rosé

1 Fresh Lime, Sliced Thinly

1 Fresh Blood Orange, Sliced Thinly – reserve 6 slices for garnish

18 to 20 red seedless grapes, sliced in half lengthwise

1/2 cup cranberry juice cocktail

1   1/2 TBSP granulated sugar

Combine fruit slices, juice and sugar in a large glass pitcher and fill with the 2007 YVV Rosé.

Serve Chilled in your favorite festive glass and garnish with a slice of the blood orange.

Yakima Valley Community College hosts the 3rd Annual Grape to Glass Gala Scholarship Fundraiser

Grandview Campus – The Vineyard and Winery Technology Program at Yakima Valley Community College will host the 3rd annual Grape to Glass Gala – A Winemaker’s Dinner on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 6:30-10:30pm. The event will benefit Vineyard & Winery Technology student scholarships. Held at the Grandview Activity Center / Carl L. Stevens Center, 401 W. Street, Grandview, WA 98930 the event will include a four course dinner paired with Yakima Valley Vintners wines, a silent auction, live music and dancing.

• 6:30-7:00pm: Appetizers and Social
• 6:30-8:00pm: Silent Auction Open
• 7:00-8:30pm: Dinner provided by Picazo 7Seventeen
• 8:30-10:30pm: Dancing with Smooth as Jazz

Menu prepared for by Picazo 7Seventeen, recipient of the 2009 & 2010 Washington Wine Grand Award from the Washington Wine Commission. In collaboration with YV-Tech Culinary Arts Program, students will assist Picazo 7Seventeen with dinner service.

Appetizers:

• Flat Bread with Slivered Almonds, Poached Pear, Basil and Vintage Cheddar Cheese. Paired with Parejas Cellars Tres Blancos.
• Kalamata Olive, Fresh Mozzarella and Grape Tomato Skewers Paired with Cedegreen Cellars Sauvignon Blanc.
• Scones, Smoked Salmon Lox, Crème Fraiche and Fresh Dill Paired with Yakima Valley Vintners Viognier.

Salads

• Mixed Field Greens, House Balsamic Vinaigrette, Shaved Parmesan Cheese, Tomatoes, Dried Bing Cherries with Prosciutto Crisps. Paired with Yakima Valley Vintners Primitivo

Main Course

• Syrah Braised Osso Bucco Style Beef Short Ribs Mushroom Risotto and Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables. Paired with Yakima Valley Vintners Syrah.

Dessert

• Vanilla Crème Brûlée & Light Lemon Mousse with Raspberry. Paired with Yakima Valley Vintners Late Harvest Pinot Gris

Looking for award winning wines from Yakima Valley Vintners? We may be closer than you think. We just added two more locations in the Seattle area that serve or sell our 2007 Class Project Viognier.  The Wine Alley shop in Renton, Washington and the La Medusa Restaurant in Seattle.

This wonderfully refreshing Viognier was produced in the Teaching Winery at Yakima Valley Community College, Grandview campus.  Our student winemakers are very proud of these wines and are excited to see them reaching wine lovers throughout the Pacific Northwest.

We are now down to our last few cases of this vintage and estimate that our stock will be exhausted well before Spring Barrel Tasting this year. So get yours today at one of the fine establishments listed on the sidebar of this website before it’s gone forever!
