About the Vineyard
Coyote Canyon is a reflection of the Andrews Family’s lifelong tradition of cultivating the land. Located in south central Washington in the heart of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, this unique terroir and climate has nurtured Coyote Canyon’s award winning premium grapes since 1994. Mike Andrews is owner and winemaker of Coyote Canyon Winery and partner in the 1,135-acre Coyote Canyon Vineyard that supplies grapes to a number of other wineries, including those grapes used by Yakima Valley Vintners at the YVCC teaching winery.

About the Vineyard
Dave Groth purchased a total of 1480 acres in the Horse Heaven Hills and in 1999 planted the Aldercreek and Windy Ridge Vineyards. He planted 280 acres of grapes including cabernet, merlot, petit verdot, malbec, sangiovese, sauvignon blanc and cab franc, and started selling grapes to many Columbia Valley wineries, including Bookwalter and Bernard Griffin.
Dave Groth was tragically killed in a four-wheeling accident in the Horse Heaven Hills vineyard in August 2009, devastating the family, who are now trying to move forward.“This was his dream, but we’ve all kind of realized it and as a family are passionate about it,” said Brian Groth, who moved to the Tri-Cities area from Vancouver in 2005 to help with the family business.
